The Dream
Team!
AKA Design Incubation. An amazing group of UX designers looking at emerging trends and ideating new concepts for both buyers and sellers to push eBay into the future.
Sharing our Work
I created an internal portfolio website for all of our concepts to make sharing with the entire company easy. This was also a space where we could share our yearly trend report from weekly "Pause and Play" sessions.

Pause & Play
Every Friday the team would do a "Show and Tell" share out of new releases, technology trends, and anything we found inspiring. This was a way for us to look ahead and bring concepts into our work. We took this meeting format and created an outreach program aimed at building connections across the organization, encouraging creative thinking. Every few weeks, the Design Incubation team met with a different design team, collecting inspiration and ideas and encouraging discussion.

Collegiate Collaboration
I facilitated collaboration with a group of students from SCAD. Together we worked to bring eBay to the forefront of Web3. Students were encouraged to consider the concepts of ownership, community, authenticity as a means of expanding user adoption when they were given the task of imagining eBay’s future in the context of Blockchain, NFTs and Web3.

Sneakers Workshop
I helped organize, lead, and facilitate a Design-led workshop centered on driving deep empathy with the Sneaker shopper’s journey while encouraging the cross-functional team to think differently about how to approach Focus Categories problem spaces. To beat our competitors, we must fully understand the Sneaker shopper and their needs. I brought together a group of design, research, BU and PMs to dive deep into the sneaker buyer journey. The workshop started with a Journal Study - Each participant spent a week ahead of the workshop ‘on the hunt’ with a budget of $250 to find a pair of sneakers. Then as a group we did Deep dives into competition and opportunity spaces where eBay has the right to win. Ideas from this workshop went into planning and will be live on eBay soon!
